ShadowSight is led by people who have dealt with real data leakage, insider risk and investigations inside large, complex organisations.
This isn’t academic. It’s practical experience from environments where mistakes matter.
Managing Director
Christopher has over 40 years’ experience across investigations, digital forensics, and insider risk.
He has held senior investigative roles with Victoria Police and led global insider threat, forensics, and investigations programs at General Electric.
Today, he works directly with organisations that need clear, defensible answers about data leakage risk — not assumptions.
Chris spent 24 years as a detective, much of it tackling organised crime, a role that demanded patience, resilience, and calm under pressure. That experience still shapes him today. He’s measured, disciplined, and focused on facts.
Outside work, he applies the same mindset to ultra marathons, early morning training sessions, track days in his Porsche, and even skydiving. Whatever the setting, Chris brings focus, control, and quiet intensity to everything he does.
Director, Operations
David brings nearly 20 years’ experience in digital forensics, workplace investigations, and data leakage risk.
He has led hundreds of complex investigations across corporate, regulatory, and law-enforcement environments, including senior global roles at GE Capital.
His focus is operational reality: spotting risk early and translating it into outcomes executives can stand behind.
David is a former detective who now works in digital forensics and investigations, bringing sharp focus, curiosity, and an instinct for detail to everything he does. He asks good questions, spots what others miss, and never takes things at face value.
Outside work, he gravitates toward enduro riding, 4WDing, and off-grid camping, drawn to challenges that build resilience. At home, his love of hi-fi, perfectly cooked steak, and dialled-in espresso reflects the same precision and constant refinement he applies in his professional life.
Director, Technology & Analytics
Nicholas specialises in monitoring, analytics, and understanding how sensitive data is actually used inside organisations.
He has held senior roles at IBM and General Electric and has spent more than a decade turning large volumes of activity into insight security teams can act on with confidence.
His work bridges technology and judgement.
Nicholas is a new dad running on caffeine and very little sleep, yet he’s still the most technically capable person in the room. He has a knack for calmly delivering solutions to promises made on his behalf, usually finding out with a casual, “We can do that, right?” Somehow, he always makes it work.
When he’s not building systems or fixing the impossible, he unwinds by driving his BMW the way it was meant to be driven. Sleep-deprived but dangerously capable, he’s essential to keeping everything running.
Head of Analytics and Monitoring Team
Joanne leads the team responsible for monitoring the ShadowSight platform across all clients. She is an expert in data leakage and insider risk, with deep experience operating large-scale monitoring and detection services in complex environments. Her background includes service with the Australian Federal Police, bringing a strong investigative and operational lens to ShadowSight’s ongoing oversight.
Jo is calm, composed, and quietly formidable. A champion Australian Rules footballer who has captained her team to grand finals, she brings natural leadership and toughness to everything she does. She tends to have a plan in place before most people have finished speaking.
Off the field, she’s usually accompanied by her two devoted dogs, who clearly know she’s in charge. Disciplined, dependable, and unflappable under pressure, Jo makes any team stronger just by being on it.
